Hazardous Materials Endorsement (Hazmat) Online ELDT
The hazardous materials theory is a training program that teaches drivers how to safely transport hazardous materials (HAZMAT) in accordance with federal and state laws. It also prepares drivers for the Hazmat Endorsement exam administered by the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV). Hazardous materials theoretical training is a mandatory part of the federal training requirements for Entry Level Drivers (ELDT). Drivers must complete a hazardous materials theoretical training program from a company listed in the Training Provider Registry (TPR) before taking the hazardous materials endorsement approval exam. After completing the training and the exam, drivers can take the final hazardous materials endorsement test at their local licensing office. This course covers 13 units for the Hazardous Materials (H) ELDT as prescribed by the FMCSA. Upon completion of this course, the results will be submitted to the FMCSA Training Provider Registry. Before providing any assessment services, CDL testing centers will retrieve these results from the FMCSA Training Provider Registry to confirm that the student has completed this course.
